The Waterloo Mine is huge, especially by Calico standards.  Most of the entrances have been gated, backfilled or have simply collapsed.  Many of the drifts have also collapsed.  We entered via a 160' vertical shaft without a ladder.  The mine yielded some incredible square set timbered stopes and was a joy to explore.
